Birth Doula Support in Denver

Choosing your birth support team is one of the most important decisions of this season. We take that invitation seriously.

As birth doulas we have collectively supported hundreds of births across the Denver metro, at every hospital, birth center, and home setting from Littleton to Boulder. We have been present for unmedicated waterbirths and emergency cesareans, long inductions and fast labors, VBACs and first births and fourth births. Whatever your birth looks like, someone on our team has held that space before.

We are especially drawn to families who want to be informed and empowered in their birth, who want to understand their options, make their own choices, and feel strong rather than swept along. Whether that means a completely unmedicated birth or a supported epidural labor, we are here to make sure you stay at the center of your own story.

for families curious about low-intervention birth

If you are hoping for an unmedicated, physiological, or low-intervention birth — you are in the right place.

We love this work. We know how to support a laboring body through natural sensation, position changes, water, breath, and presence. We know how to help your partner show up for you. We know when to be completely quiet and when to speak. And we know how to help you stay grounded if the plan changes.

We will never push you toward or away from any decision. What we will do is make sure you have the information you need to make the choice that is right for you, whatever that is. An informed choice made by you is always the right choice.

Doula Services

what your birth day looks like with us

When you go into labor you call or text our on-call line. We talk through where you are and what you need. We come to you, at home, at the hospital, at the birth center, when you are ready for us.

We do not show up as a stranger. We show up as someone who has sat with you, learned your story, and thought about your birth. We bring our bag of tools: the rebozo, the birth ball, counterpressure, warmth, presence, and we bring our experience of having been in rooms like yours before.

After your baby is born we stay. We help you find your first latch, help your partner feel settled, and make sure you feel held before we leave. And we visit you at home in those first tender days, because the postpartum period is not an afterthought, it is part of the birth story too.

Rosemary Wellness Collective and our Doula Lia made this birth a completely different experience from my first baby. The whole team was helpful and resourceful over the second and third trimesters, with as little or as much support as I wanted. When it came to labor and delivery, and early post-partum, Lia was everything I hoped for. A calm presence, offering tools and resources throughout the process, as well as advocating for me and my goals. I think her presence allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience more than if we had been on our own. The rest of the team was wonderful and I would recommend any of them for your doula support.

Looking back at my birth I can’t imagine going through the experience without BreAnn by my side. BreAnn supported me (and my mother/support person) through a last minute induction due to preeclampsia followed by 4+ hours of pushing and finally an emergency c-section. Every step of the way BreAnn was there ensuring my needs were listened to. She was incredibly knowledgeable about various positions and support measures that we could utilize given the constraints of the hospital and my preeclampsia. BreAnn even supported me in the operating room and immediately after my c-section despite having been up from the early morning supporting an incredibly hands on labor. If you are looking for compassionate hands on and emotional support for your labor I can’t recommend BreAnn enough, you will feel empowered and informed every step of the way.
